I am watching last stand on TV . Just had a stint on GTA V. Eventually found an Ocelot F620. The 620 was found near the golf course in the posh end of town. They are so damned rare. I have only ever seen them on missions previously. I have yet to insure it so it is safe in the garage for now. My Jackal ( which I found parked at a posh house in Vine wood hills)  is insured and upgraded engine wise. The F620 reminds me of an Aston Martin. The Jackal of a decent Jaguar. Both nice cars. I also picked up a Gauntlet muscle car for runaround smash up missions. I will say one thing. Finding good cars is sort of a catch 22. If you find a decent car and drive around in it you are more likely to find the same one. The spawning in GTA leans heavily on related vehicles. For example when I drive around in my Jackal and my Zion. I tend to see a lot of Buffalo’s . I Mean A LOT. It is like the Serengeti out there. I have days were I just see Vipers and other similar Muscle cars. Normally when I am driving my Felon ( if memory serves) I am not sure of the combination or if my info was 100% right. But you get the general idea. But if you do drive around in a high end BMW equivalent you are more likely to see a decent saloon / sport. I don’t talk much about the very high end supers. Simply because you can’t keep them or upgrade them. If you could I am sure my garage would be packed with then instead of the 5 I have. I also like the more solid and classic frames of the mid-high range cars. I actually think the Felon and the F620 look better than say the Infernus ….slower but better heh. I did drive a Coquette for a Simeon mission recently tho and I would like one of those bad boys. Who knows when I get the fabled half mill from Rockstar maybe I will use my last garage space on one.

I took a garage in the east side of Los Santos near the customs so I can zip in and sell off Baller’s and other SUV’s to the respray place and allow me to live my elegant lifestyle of guns and upgrades for my cars.

Tips so far on car ownership

* Get a garage. Preferably one near the LS customs. 6 car ones are good. 2 car ones are acceptable.

* Use your mechanic. I can’t count how often I have been in the middle of no where and that dude has saved my ass via delivery of my car. DON’T as him to bring one car when the other is already out around the map. This can cause glitches and destroy your car.

* If your car is impounded make a mental note where the impound lot is to get there quick. The impound is the lower east side of town near the river. Put a little point of interest on it ( using map) . The wall at the back of the lot is climbable and you can open the gates by waiting in front of them. Once your out an the cops are after you . Don’t be scared to dump your car. Once it is safe it doesn’t matter what happens to you (within reason hehe).

* Insure it/track it. Man this is uber important. If it is trashed and not insured that super rare car is lost forever. Any upgrades are wasted too. Put it in your garage when it is not in use and for god sake insure it.

* Don’t go in water. That is instant death for your vehicle. Then your back to claiming insurance.

* If you don’t have a garage leave it somewhere sensible.

* Restart online instead of ‘fixing’ it in a garage ( except your own which is free) as you pay costs every time you want to do something to it ( repairs). If you restart online then it is clean and fixed.

* Leave online properly or any upgrades etc are lost. Go back to offline to save it.

* Upgrade it. There is so much to do and it can be a beast if you upgrade it right . Although it is expensive. Some of the unlocks require a ton of gaming and random stuff. One might be like slipstream 100 cars. Another could be win 50 races. I really want some metallic colours for my cars but they are faaaar down the line in regards to progress.  Armor upgrades are good for the action type players. Speed for the getaway drivers.

* Don’t be afraid to keep the colour they gave you. Sometimes the colour of the stolen car is nice. My ZIon is a wonderful metallic orange ( something I won’t unlock for a long time).

* Some upgrades are purely aesthetic and do nothing to performance.

* If you buy a garage make sure it is not miles from anywhere. Like Blane county or something…..unless you like it up there ……..wierdo!

* You can spawn in your garage and have access to your cars straight away. But if you don’t you can still get the mechanic to deliver ( as mentioned).

* You can ONLY have one property so if you upgrade your house or garage you lose the first one. You get a trade in price ( 50% ) but you lose it. So you can’t have say 2 garages to store 12 cars. You need to save and buy one big garage.

OK , I am off for a jog. Bye all!

Extra info on the rare Ocelot. The same Wikia argues that the Jackal is common downtown. Believe me it isn’t. I drive around specifically looking for high end cars and the Ocelots and Lampadati’s are the rarest.

TBoGT – Original design

The Ocelot F620 is largely based upon both the Aston Martin Vanquish (front fascia and overall body shape) and the Jaguar XK (rear fascia), with minor features like the grill being taken from the Maserati GranTurismo. The side vents of the F620 are also similar to those of the Mercedes SLR McLaren.

With Ocelot being badged on the bottom-left corner of the trunk, it seems to be the GTA rendition of Jaguar, since both names are species of cat.

GTA V

The F620, remains largely the same, but has had an updated with wheel design; the car had been updated to feature split five-spoke wheels and it has badges.
