Crisp Taiwan beer and skewered season meat. What else can I say? Back to work tomorrow and I was trying to think of something positive to think about. Yes the transfer window is upon us and here is the talk :

* Fergie wants to take Lampard and Cole when their contracts expire at Chelsea….can’t see it happening at all but who knows.

* Real Madrid to sign David de Gea for £22m?

* Harry Redknapp has confirmed he is interested in bringing Joe Cole to QPR and is planning talks with Brendan Rodgers.

* Chelsea have emerged as favourites to sign Newcastle striker Demba Ba but Tottenham and Arsenal remain interested in signing him.

* England left back Leighton Baines has emerged as a key transfer target for Arsenal, with the club planning a £10m bid for the set-piece specialist.

* Arsène Wenger looks set to be thwarted in his bid to sign Manchester United winger Nani after Sir Alex Ferguson said the club would not be letting him go.

* Radomel Falcao remains on Chelsea’s radar as they look for a striker to take the burden off Fernando Torres.

* David Moyes is considering making a loan deal for Manchester City flop Scott Sinclair.

* Liverpool have reportedly made an audacious £9.5m bid for out-of-favour Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

* Newcastle have agreed a deal with Lille to sign defender Mathieu Debuchy.

* Tottenham have tabled a £10m bid for Crystal Palace and England winger Wilfried Zaha.

Some good food for thought. I’d like to see Zaha in the prem, he looks most promising.
